Dear friends and neighbors,
As your United States Senator, my top priority is making life more affordable for Ohio’s working families. In less than a year, the president has signed three of my bills into law to do just that. These bills lower health care costs, eliminate burdensome regulations, and protect our natural resources.
I’ve also been working to lower housing costs through the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, a law that will boost housing supply by cutting regulations, and my First-Time Homebuyer Empowerment Act, which would allow Ohioans to use unused 529 college savings toward a down payment.
Most recently, I had the chance to meet with Ohioans in Cincinnati and northeast Ohio to hear directly about the challenges they’re facing and discuss how we can continue making our state a better place to live, work, and raise a family.

In Cincinnati, I met with working families to discuss how we can put more money back in the pockets of Ohio families and help them save, spend, and invest in their priorities.

Making housing more affordable starts with increasing the supply of homes and cutting unnecessary red tape. In northeast Ohio, I joined housing leaders to discuss ways we can make it easier for Ohioans to afford a home and build a future in our state.
The Ohioans I met with in southwestern and northeastern Ohio are leaders who are helping move our state forward. I appreciate the opportunity to hear from them and will continue taking their ideas and concerns with me back to Washington.
