Visiting Washington, D.C.
Sen. Husted’s staff is here to support Ohioans in planning a trip to Washington, D.C., where they can experience historic attractions around the city. The office recommends planning visits to Washington as early as possible. Tours of many attractions fill up quickly, so it is important to get request(s) submitted as soon as possible.
The White House
Sen. Husted’s office would be happy to submit a White House tour request on Ohioans’ behalf. The White House calendar opens for requests three months prior to the desired date. Unfortunately, the White House will not accommodate tour requests with less than two weeks’ notice. Please keep in mind that the White House does not have tours on Sunday or Monday. The White House tour schedule is subject to change, with little notice, based on inclement weather or official use.
The U.S. Capitol
Senate offices are permitted to take groups of up to 15 people on a tour and must follow Capitol Visitor Center guidelines. Schools and larger groups can now book tours of up to 50 people led by the Capitol Visitor Center. Sen. Husted’s office is happy to reserve these tours for Ohioans depending on availability.
Staff-led tours are available Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and are planned on a first-come, first-served basis.
