As your U.S. Senator, I’m continuing my work to expand school choice nationwide. I helped create Ohio’s EdChoice scholarship when I was Speaker of the House—helping more than 100,000 Ohio families find the right education for their children.
 
Now, I’m proud to support the Republican budget law, which includes provisions to give parents the same freedom across the country.
 
This law improves parents’ choices for their kids’ education by creating a school choice tax credit. These tax credits will lead to more scholarships and help Ohio families afford private school, expanding educational access and freedom. I cosponsored similar legislation to establish school choice tax credits when I first joined the Senate, the Education School Choice for Children Act.
 
School choice empowers parents and helps meet the individual needs of each child, and I’ll keep working to give Ohio’s next generation more opportunities to build their version of the American dream.
