“In Ohio, we are blessed to have a great education system that ensures everyone has the chance to reach their God-given potential. That, added to the fact that we are home to the most dedicated, hard-working people in the country, is what has won our state the chance to build the things the world needs—from the planes we fly on, to the cars we drive, to the technology that connects it all together.”
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) spent today meeting with the Ohio Conference of Teamsters in Columbus and visiting Cincinnati State Technical and Community College faculty.
“In Ohio, we are blessed to have a great education system that ensures everyone has the chance to reach their God-given potential. That, added to the fact that we are home to the most dedicated, hard-working people in the country, is what has won our state the chance to build the things the world needs—from the planes we fly on, to the cars we drive, to the technology that connects it all together,” said Husted.

Husted delivered remarks at the Ohio Teamsters Conference in Columbus.
Husted shared his commitment to workers at the Ohio Teamsters conference in Columbus. The Ohio Conference of Teamsters represents workers across a variety of industries.
“Ensuring Ohioans have the opportunity to earn a good education and a purposeful career has always driven my public service. I was honored to join the Teamsters today and talk about how we are building an economy that rewards hard work. The Ohioans I spent time alongside today have helped build our state’s economic foundation and are a key to its future success,” said Husted.

Husted met with Cincinnati State and Technical Community College faculty.
Husted also visited Cincinnati State Technical and Community College to see its facilities firsthand and meet with leadership to discuss how the new Workforce Pell Grant program in the budget law will benefit students, local businesses and Ohio’s economy.
“Visiting Cincinnati State gave me a front-row look at how their programs are helping students build the skills they need to earn Ohio’s in-demand jobs. Career tech education keeps Ohioans competitive in the workforce, and the new Workforce Pell Grants will allow more students to access short-term training that opens the door to more opportunity,” said Husted.
This visit builds on Husted’s support for expanding access to affordable job training and well-paying jobs. His work on the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions was integral to Workforce Pell Grants’ inclusion in the budget law.
